Having defeated our senior footballers on Friday night, St. Patrick's travelled to Killeavy
to take on our u21's in the championship quarter-final. St. Patrick's were fielding most of
the team that won the Minor championship two years ago and were quickly into their stride,
striking an early blow with a well taken goal. It took some time for Killeavy to get going
but the four point half-time deficit could have been much less if Killeavy had been able to
take even one of their three decent goal chances in the first half. The second half saw St.
Patrick's pull away but Killeavy never gave up and a spirited finished saw them at last get
some reward for their efforts with two late goals.
