Minor League: Killeavy 2-06 Clann Eireann 0-07

Firstly, congratulations to all the players and officials who took part and the supporters who turned up to watch the two league matches this weekend. Conditions for football were horrendous, especially for the All-County minor league match between Killeavy and Clann Eireann. The wind and rain that swept across the Memorial Park did not dampen the enthusiasm of either team in a match in which both teams tried and managed to play decent football despite the weather. Clann Eireann got the first score of the game but Killeavy gradually edged their way into the game and got the major break with a Caolan Trainor goal which gave them a lead they were never to relinquish. Still only two points separated the teams going into the last ten minutes and it took a goal from a fisted effort from Cathal O'Hara to ensure that the league points and unbeaten record were to stay with the home team.
