Killeavy travelled to Lurgan to take on the home team Clann Eireann in the semi final of the all county championship on Wednesday night.
The game started at a lightening pace with the ball going from one end of the field to the other as both teams were trying to get settled into the game,
and it took nearly 10 minutes for the first score to register and when it came it was in Killeavy's favour when constant pressure paid off with a well
taken goal for Colleen Mc Veigh, this was followed by a great point from Bridgetta Quinn, this kicked Clan Eireann into life and they applied pressure
of their own which resulted in 3 well taken points, however but for the heroics of the Killeavy defence with some superb blocking and tackling
they could have had a lot more scores. Killeavy responded well and Bridgetta grabbed another 3 points, the home team then fought back and got a
goal and 3 points to go into a 2 point lead, however Killeavy had the last say of the first half with centre half back Megan Boyle burst through
and grabbed a terrific goal to send Killeavy in at the break with a 1 point lead.

In the second half Killeavy were playing with a slight wind but once again the teams took a while to settle with the backs very much on top for both teams,
with Aine Mc Parland and Megan Boyle coming out time and time again with the ball, and once again it was Killeavy who settled first with Megan once
again opening the scoring with a fine point from a free. The game was fast and free flowing with some great passages of play and despite having a lot
of the ball both teams failed to score hitting several wides and also both goalkeepers pulling of great saves, the game then swung in Killeavy's favour
with Bridgetta Quinn getting through for the decisive goal following great play outfield from Rebecca Gamble and Meabh King, credit to Clan Eireann
they fought back and got 2 well taken points, however the Killeavy backs stood firm and we finished the scoring with another point from
Megan Boyle to send the girls into the Championship Final.
