SFL 2010 Division 4: Killeavy II 1-12 Clady 1-06
Friday’s Division 4 match between Killeavy and Clady was delayed by 30 minutes due to the nonappearance of the referee. Killeavy got off to a slow start and were two points down in the opening five minutes. When they got into their stride however, Killeavy were unstoppable and scored seven points in a row, five from Adrian Doran and one each from James Watters and Barry O’ Hara. Other chances were missed however and Clady were allowed back into the game with a goal and point just before halftime.
The introduction of Anthony O’Hare into the game for the second half transformed the Killeavy forward line as he won every ball that came his way, scoring three points himself and setting up a great goal by Patrick McArdle. Other points came from Mark McDonnell, Patrick McArdle and Barry Magee. In reply, Clady could only register three points from frees and we ended up comfortable winners by 1.12 to 1.06.
This was an excellent performance against a hard working and talented Clady side. It gives an early season indicator of the standards that Killeavy need to set if they are to challenge for promotion in this, their first year back in Division 4.

SHL Killeavy v Craobh Rua Tues 27 April @7.30pm
Killeavy entertained Craobh Rua on Tuesday night with several players missing due to injury.
Right from the start Craobh rua dominated the game and scored at will in the early stages. Despite this, killeavy had several first half goal chances which should have been converted.
The second half continued in the same vain and nobody would have any doubt that the better team won on the night on a scoreline of 3-12 to 0-08.

After defeat to Crossmaglen II, Killeavy got their league campaign restarted with a fairly facile win in Darkley on Friday night. Exchanges were close early
on but Killeavy got into their stride and Brady’s rather gave up as the game progressed. Top of the scoring charts was Anthony O’Hare who bagged 3.03. This
win moved the Killeavy men back into third place in the table – a position they should consolidate on Sunday away to bottom team Mullabrack.

Another great performance from Stevie, saw him lead Armagh to victory in the Division 2 League Final against Down. Two supercomputers are currently trying to calculate the number of scores he hit in this years league campaign. It was brilliant to see him lift the trophy in the Hogan Stand, lets hope it’s the first of many this year!!

Stevie McDonnell lifts the Division 2 League Trophy for Armagh.
